First time I came here, I was so confused purely because of its location.  However, I come in and the restaurant is pretty busy and all, but the servers still came by to see if I needed anything.  I ordered the Roast Beef hot sandwich and wanted a clam chowder with it.  It tasted pretty damned amazing, but I was disappointed that it didn't have vegetables.

So the next time I came by, I ordered the same thing with lettuce and tomatoes and it tasted absolutely amazing.  The clam chowder is homemade and you can tell it is as well.  The bacon inside did throw me off, but it started to grow on me and I honestly started to like it quite a bit.  The place and service is really nice and I can understand why people give it such a high rating.  It's delicious and I would not hesitate to stop by here again.

Worth stopping for a quick detour! Traveling from PHX to San Diego and needed some breakfast.  Found thru Yelp reviews and didn't disappoint! Very friendly and quick service.  Kids ate 2 huge pancakes and Husband had ham and cheese omelet with hashbrowns.  I got eggs and the best biscuit and sausage gravy outside of my home state of IN! Even got to top off my travel mug with ice water for the road. So glad we didn't settle with a chain restaurant. All around happy with our experience! Will stop next time we are passing thru.

Thank you for providing our church members and my husbands workers with great authentic Mexican food! We were so please by the food last week. Breakfast and lunch are proudly served by staff. They cater here. Best Mexican food.

(3.5/5 Stars) We had to fast to get some blood tests so we went in real early. We were done early so decided to stop for breakfast. Juniors was just up the street so we gave it a try.

It's an older building that they have turned into a cafe. They are known for their huge portions and open-face sandwiches. I've had them bookmarked since before we moved here because of their menu but we've never made it because they are only open for breakfast and lunch-and we usually only go out for dinner.

You select your seat and they bring menus and take your drink order right away. We got our coffee right away. The coffee was just ok but we drank it happily since it was our first of the day.

The menu is pretty simple with classic breakfasts. I was surprised that they served chicken fried chicken as well as the standard chicken fried steak. We ordered eggs, home fried potatoes with toast and also the half-order (so good they do half orders!) of chicken fried chicken with country gravy and home fries-plus they give you a choice of toast or biscuits and gravy! Is that even a choice?

Our meals came on a good sized platter for the full meal and a smaller one for the half order of the chicken fried chicken then another for the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were big enough to be a second meal.

The chicken fried chicken was very good. It wasn't flattened like normal but a big hunk of chicken breast in a nice fried coating. It was good but we weren't expecting the hunk and I think the flatter version works better for breakfast. The country gravy was ok on the chicken but had a weird flavor (tasted like stale cream?) on the biscuits. The biscuits were flat and dense instead of light and fluffy. The home fried potatoes were fried nicely and were tasty. The eggs were just eggs-no special seasoning. The white toast was like Texas toast-very thick. Not the best choice to dunk in eggs but ok.

Overall, Junior was a decent place for breakfast but the breakfast was just good enough for average C or 3 stars. The chicken fried chicken brought it up to the 3.5 stars. Our bill came to $21 and some change. For that much here, I would expect more.
